Natural Pools in Valencia

The province of Valencia attracts millions of visitors each year. Most of them go to the same places to take a dip on the coast. Yet, the most stunning spots are inland.

The province of Valencia is located in the east of Spain. It is the third most populated province in Spain. It borders the provinces of Castellón, Teruel, Cuenca, Alicante, and the Mediterranean Sea to the east. It has a very mountainous interior with deep and rugged valleys, formed by the main rivers that cross it. Inland it has a plateau, the Altiplano de Requena-Utiel, with an average altitude of 750 m.

The most important rivers in order are the Cabriel river and the Júcar river (with half of its course in deep valleys and canyons), the Turia river, the Palancia river and the Serpis river. It also has numerous reservoirs and lakes, such as the Albufera de Anna.

In these rivers, reservoirs and lakes there are many spectacular spots for admiring or wild swimming. Yet, you have to know where they are.
